Jillian Myers, Managing Editor
Senior Jillian Myers is a first year Managing Editor on The Blueprint staff. Myers was apart of the Blueprint club as a freelancer for two years before becoming a staff writer and running the club herself.
Other than journalism, Myers is active in the DGS Speech Team and participated in state and national levels. At state, she placed fourth for Extemporaneous Speaking and was a double finalist for Impromptu speaking at nationals. Myers was also recognized by Northwestern University in Excellence for Extemporaneous Speaking.
Myers is also a part of National Technical Honors Society and National Honors Society. She was also awarded an honorable mention in the National Spanish Exam Level Four. Additionally, she has been on high honor roll for all four years of high school.
Outside of school, Myers has an internship at a law firm. She also spent her summer nannying three young boys. In her free time, Myers enjoys keeping up with politics and playing pickleball with friends.
Myers has spent her years at DGS volunteering for leadership positions and has participated as a leader for both Mad Dash and Operation Snowball. Along with those, she is part of the P.E. leader program. Myers has a passion for leadership, communication and community service. She hopes to one day pursue a career in law and politics.
