Senior Hiba Ahmed is an Opinions Editor in her first year on the DGS Blueprint staff. Ahmed serves as the president of the Muslim Student Association, one of the co-founders of the High School Alliance of Future Physicians at DGS, a member of the 2026 Class Board and an avid member of the Asian Student Union. She is also a three-time recipient of the honor roll and a member of both the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society.

Although this is her first year exploring journalism, Ahmed has always been fond of writing and sharing her perspectives. She values her relationship with her former English teachers and appreciates their support in inspiring her to pursue creative writing further.

When not writing for Blueprint, Ahmed can be found immersed in a good fantasy novel, spending time with friends and family, binge-watching all sorts of movies and TV shows or working at Best Buy, where she enjoys advising customers to make informed decisions about the latest technology. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in healthcare.
