Lydia Larsen, News Editor
Sophomore Lydia Larsen is a News Editor for DGS Blueprint. This is her first year on the Blueprint staff, after participating in the publication as a freelancer during her freshman year. Outside of Blueprint, Larsen is a member of the varsity speech team, Stage Crew, the PE Leadership Program, the literary tutor team, the National Speech and Debate Association and is an honor roll student.
Larsen also enjoys playing the cello in DGS’s Symphonic Orchestra, as well as the Naperville Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Encore Orchestra. This passion has led her to join the Orchestra Executive Council, the TRI-M Music Honors Society, participate in ILMEA and receive the Rising Star scholarship from the Downers Grove Music Club.
Larsen is excited to apply her passion for the creative arts to journalism this year. As she believes in its educational value, especially today.
