Malaya Jones, Photo Editor
Senior Malaya Jones is a Photo Editor entering her first year as part of the Blueprint Staff. Considering her love for writing and her newfound skills in photo editing, Jones decided to continue developing her skills and join Blueprint.
Jones is a part of the Mustang Way leadership program for DGS. Her leadership skills have not gone unnoticed by her peers, family, and, most importantly, DGS staff members. In 2021, she was awarded the American Legion Award, further showing her high leadership skills and high honor. Jones was previously a part of the school’s step team, but decided to devote her time to her academics. This school year, Jones plans on becoming a part of the Black Student Union, hoping to expand her resume as a high school student.
Following graduation in May 2026, Jones plans to continue her academic journey at Loyola University Chicago in the fall of 2026, hoping to study Neuroscience and Biology.
