Are you interested in joining the journalism program, OR are you a teacher recommending a student for the program? If so, click down below, and we will contact you soon!

We recommend that your freshman year you participate in our Journalism Cub. In our club, you work one-on-one with members of the staff to learn the basics of writing for our publication. We help you through each step of the writing process, and we often freelance many of the articles our club members write!

Your sophomore year we recommend that you take Journalistic Expression and Media Literacy (This will count for one English credit). This class goes in-depth into the foundations of journalism and gives students a chance to practice creating the articles and media expected of staff members. Staff members who have taken this class find they have a leg-up when they become part of the staff because they are familiar with the expectations.

Your junior and senior year we hope that you will take Advanced Journalistic Writing and become a member of our staff! You will write articles, create art and take photographs for both our online and print publications. You may take this class honors or regular.
