Abigail Durkin, Opinions Editor

Abigail Durkin is a senior at DGS in her first year on the Blueprint staff. Durkin is a fourth year member of the DGS speech team, a Blue Crew leader, a member of her Classboard, an honor roll student, a member of NHS and has been French Club president for three years. Starting her freshman year, Durkin has been playing goalie in the DGS and DGN Girls Lacrosse Team, where her communication skills on the field allowed her to become Defense Captain.

Outside of School, Durkin enjoys traveling and volunteering at the Smithsonian. During the summer, she and her friends take long car rides to Saint Joseph beach in Michigan. The next trip she is planning is to San Francisco to visit her family.

Durkin’s hobbies include reading, listening to music and watching movies. The two books she always recommends to friends and family are “Normal People” by Sally Rooney and “Bluets” by Maggie Nelson. Her favorite artists are Declan McKenna, The Greeting Committee and French Cassettes. One of her goals is to see Declan Mckenna in concert.
