Kristin Weidner

Kristin Weidner, Video News Director

Kristin Weidner is a senior at DGS. This is Weidner’s first year on the Blueprint team as a News Video Editor. Weidner relishes in the creative freedom of screenwriting, cinematography and digital design, however when she is not using her left brain, she is involved in the National Honors Society, the National Technical Honors Society, Key Club, Varsity Golf and Badminton.

After spending quarantine building her skills, she is excited to put her creative abilities to work. Weidner’s weekends are often filled with movies and television, hence the reason she is so fond of writing them.

She is inspired by those who find the heart of a story and bring out key details, as well as those who confide in their audience about their truths. To Weidner, journalism is a place to be both the spectator and player. She is excited about the year and hopes to shine light on the loud and quiet changes in society.
