Catherine Hewawissa, News Editor
Senior Catherine Hewawissa is in her first year on the Blueprint staff as a News Editor. Hewawissa is captain of the tennis team, co-president of masque and gavel, an officer on the speech team, woodwind captain in the marching band, a member of the wind ensemble and an honor roll student. She is also involved in several other leadership clubs including Blue Crew, Changemakers, PE Leading, National Honor Society and Snowball.
When not at school, you can find Hewawissa playing tennis, traveling, driving around with friends or rewatching Grey’s Anatomy for the 5th time. Hewawissa also loves working for the park district as a children’s tennis coach. After high school, she hopes to attend a four-year university to study business or communications.
Hewawissa has always had a love of sharing stories through writing and performance and is excited to take on a new form of communication as a Blueprint staff member.
