Tanaiya Lake

Tanaiya Lake, Copy Editor

Tanaiya Lake is a senior at DGS and a Copy Editor for the Blueprint. Lake is a member of UMOJA club at DGS. She has recited original poetry at talent shows, has been the vice president for the last two years, and is also involved with MadDash.

Lake is an advocate for Black Lives Matter and has participated in marches; she also loves to write poetry. Lake also likes anime and binging the newest Netflix movies while spending time with her friends and family. She also has a YouTube channel where she spreads positivity and shows her life.

Lake plans on attending a historically black college or University where she can further learn about herself and her African American culture amongst her peers. She also wants to travel and explore the most tropical parts of the world she can find.
