Marc Alvarez, Copy Editor
Marc Alvarez is a senior at DGS and a copy editor for the Blueprint. He is a varsity runner for the cross country and track teams at DGS and has been a team member for the last four years. He has earned 9 all-conference awards on the track and the cross country course.
Alvarez is also the president of DECA—a business and marketing club. He has earned all-state awards in his first three years of competition. His junior year he was the state champion in marketing communications and advanced to the international competition held in Anaheim, California
Alvarez is also involved with Peer Tutoring, National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Mad Dash and RUSH Corps at DGS. Alvarez aims to study economics or political science in college.
One of his life goals is to run a marathon on all seven continents. His favorite book is "Catch-22" and his favorite TV show is "The Wire." He enjoys running, reading and hanging out with friends in his small amount of free time.
