Junior Ella Foresman is one of the co-founders of the creative play and event studio entitled Dash of Dust, a unique concept that blends fantasy with creativity, bringing every child’s wildest dreams to life.
Inspiration for this business initially struck Foresman’s mom, who brought this idea to life.
“My mom was a teacher and she’s always loved creativity and little kids, but she didn’t really want to be teaching anymore. We partnered up with my voice teacher who is a theater major and knows about acting, and together we created this super cool business,” Foresman said.
Although Foresman holds a prominent role in this business, she commends and expresses gratitude towards her mom for the steps she took to make her dreams come to life.
Dash of Dust encapsulates many unique events and activities, holding a niche in this realm of business. There are a variety of activities that clients can participate in, ranging from birthday parties to holiday events, and even classes.
“At the studio you can purchase a princess package to come to a party outside of the studio or inside the studio, we host parties, and there’s event dates, like tea party Tuesdays, so it’s parties and classes for kids,” Foresman said.
As a high schooler, Foresman is able to reach a teenage audience and help build this business. She shares her impactful role as a member of this operation.
“What I mainly do is I’m involved in theater, inside and outside of school, so I’ve been recruiting people like, ‘Hey, you should be an actor for our business.’ I’m one of the princesses that goes to parties, so I’ve been Belle and I’m gonna be Glinda soon,” Foresman said.
This business has quickly become a part of Foresman’s life, and one she greatly values and appreciates.
“There’s so many different components of the business, there’s so many facets. It’s basically a whole umbrella term for everything me and my mom and my business partner do, but it’s really fun,” Foresman said.
