Chick-fil-a will remove multiple items in an act to limit their menu.

Effective April 23, Chick-fil-A will be making many changes to their menu. Breakfast items, decaf hot coffee and multigrain bagels will no longer be available at all Chick-fil-A locations. They are also reducing the amount of sizes available for coffee, ice cream cones and milkshakes.

Instead of offering two sizes of kids meals, they will only have one option. Along with the removal of their side salad, Chick-n-Strips and most importantly their Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap.

Chick-fil-A’s Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap was a recent but important discovery of mine. It was love at first sight as I realized I had finally found a menu item that was both delicious and filling. The GCCW consists of a tortilla wrap filled with lettuce, cabbage, cheese and grilled chicken, but the star of the show is the dressing.

Chick-fil-A offers a variety of dresses for their salads and wraps such as Avocado Lime Ranch, Honey mustard, Italian dressing, Balsamic Vinaigrette, Garden Herd Ranch, Creamy Salsa and Zesty Apple Cider Vinaigrette dressing. This allows for the GCCW to be personalized for each individual customer as they choose their dressing.

These menu changes have been tested since last January in Arizona and North Carolina, and will now be moving to all Chick-fil-A locations. The slimming of the Chick-fil-a menu was declared as not a result of the COVID-19 crisis, as many other chain fast food restaurants decreased their menu in light of the pandemic.

While I understand the benefits of a limited menu, I do not see it necessary to remove a fan favorite such as the Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap—especially because Chick-fil-A is adding more items to their menu. They have begun implementing Spicy Chick-n-Strips, a Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich and the Spicy Chick-n-Strips Biscuit into select locations.

So why are they depriving me of my favorite menu item—claiming to downsize—while making additions to their menu. I implore you to run and try the GCCW before it is too late, not only because it will change your life but also to convince them to save it.

Please.
