My favorite thing to do during social distancing has been to watch Guy Fieri’s ‘Diner, Drivers, and Dives’. If that’s not your cup of tea, check out this top ten list for other ideas.

Social distancing can be tough and boring — yet it’s totally necessary. Here are ten fun ideas of things you could do while social distancing.

    10. Learn a new skill
Having lots of free time is the perfect time to become a master at a new hobby. Whether it be cooking, sewing, painting or fish keeping, have fun doing something you like.

    9. Watch the Food Network
Nothing makes me feel better (emotionally and physically) than watching Guy Fieri screaming “Diners, Drivers, and Dives.” It is truly inspiring.

    8. Online shop
There are few things more fun than buying stuff online and then forgetting about them until they arrive.

    7. Play with pets
Or watch online pet compilations. Even if you don’t have pets, ask your neighbors if they do. Playing with pets or watching them through your screen is a great way to relieve stress. Unless you’re allergic, then please do not play with pets.

    6. Waste the day on Twitter
Even if you’re not a regular Twitter user, you can easily spend the day scrolling and scrolling and scrolling. And hey, at least you’re reading.

    5. Read a book
For those who actually enjoy reading, school often takes up too much time to read books you actually want to read. If your local library is still open, now is a great opportunity to catch up on some reading.

    4. Text your friends
School is the number one way most people see their friends, and without it, it can be lonely. Make sure you text all your friends so you don’t forget about them. Maybe Facetime and eat lunch together because you can’t actually go out to lunch.

    3. Rewatch childhood T.V shows
Now that “Victorious” is on Netflix and Disney+ exists, binge-watching old T.V. shows make staying at home insanely more fun. There is nothing better than “Hannah Montana” to distract you from all that chaoticness that is happening in the outside world.

    2. Go for a walk
Getting fresh air and exercise will truly help your well being. It can be very stressful sitting at home all day, especially if your parents and siblings are home.

    1. Nap
One of the best things in the world is taking a nap during the middle of the day waking up not knowing what year it is. You cannot worry about E-learning or the state of the world if you are sleeping.
