Walking into the new Mexican restaurant on Butterfield Road, there is an instant sense of a classic Mexican vibe throughout the place. Casa Margarita really captures the holiday spirit, a sense of red and green lighting filled the vibrant community full of workers and customers. We were immediately taken back not only by the festivity, but the open and embracing environment that the restaurant encompassed.

While our intimidating host told us it would be a half hour wait, we ended up waiting for around forty-five minutes. The wait didn’t feel that long, as we enjoyed the comfortable setting the waiting area provided us with. It felt relaxing and serviceable, and a lot of compliments go to the people who made us feel so hospitable as soon as we walked in.

As we seated, it came to our realization that the restaurant was much bigger than we had expected, as additional rooms mixed in with a bar as soon as you walked in. We sat down and admired how aesthetically pleasing it was, as the lighting and vibrant holiday colors along with background conversations made you instantly feel welcome.

In front of us sat chips and an exquisite dip, and the chips were freshly prepared from the back of the room, which made for an excellent appetizer. Our server Maria was extremely kind and supportive, as we had allergies to check in on, and she was adequately prepared to cover everything that came with.

The two of us ordered sets of tacos, as we got shrimp tacos and Carne Asada tacos. The meals came with beans and rice, and while the price was a little on the

more expensive end, the food was well worth it. The soft shell tacos came with delicious typical toppings like lettuce and cheese that satisfied our appetite.

The taste exploded in our mouths as the combination of colors and textures provided an experience that never gets old at Mexican restaurants. The beans and rice provided a usual yet pleasant offset from the familiar taste of tacos, yet the food was fresh and fit the price perfectly.

While neither of us could finish the entire plate, as the three tacos took up a large portion of our food for the evening, we were pleasantly surprised with how the dinner had turned out. A simple yet tasteful night filled with Mexican food made this a good overall experience, and we would definitely make the return for a night filled with conversation, good company, and great food. We would rate “Casa Margarita” as a seven out of ten.
