Mustangs vs. Pirates  24-0 W

On Tuesday, the Mustang varsity baseball team blew out the Proviso East Pirates 24-0. DGS scored 16 runs in the first two innings with a total of 14 hits. The Proviso East pitching was below average at best with eight walks and two hit by pitches and 18 hits throughout the game.

The Pirate’s offense produced one hit all game. The Mustang’s pitching was lead by Andrew Alfini and struck out eight with no earned runs.

Some of the noticeable stats from the Mustangs were Jake Pileggi hitting two for three with five RBI and two runs scored, Alfini who hit three for three with a home run short of the cycle and batting in four runs and Jack Blazevich who went three for four with three singles and three RBI.
