Hamzah Sayyed, News Editor
Hamzah Sayyed is a first year staff member of Blueprint, and he is a News Editor. Sayyed is a three sport athlete in track and field, football and wrestling. Sayyed has won previous awards including, winning 1st place in conference with his track and field team in 2022, along with placing 1st in conference for wrestling in 2021.
During his junior year, Sayyed took his first steps to journalism and expanded his horizon of writing. He later found a love for writing and telling stories. Sayyed’s work was sent to the Illinois JEA where his piece, “Before and after weight loss” took 2nd place for multimedia in 2022.
Sayyed’s other hobbies include activities like fishing, listening to music, spending time with family and friends and taking care of his animals. He has always had an interest in animals and wishes to be a veterinarian. Sayyed hopes that after college he can make a difference in the animal community by treating illness, injuries and spreading awareness for animal cruelty.
