Nia Ayala, News Editor
Senior Nia Ayala is a News Editor for the DGS Blueprint. In addition to journalism, Ayala is captain of the DGS varsity dance team and is a choreographer for the team as well. She is also an officer for the Orchesis dance club, part of Athletes Committed to Excellence, National Honors Society, PE Leading program and is a Blue Crew Director.
Ayala’s interest in journalism grew as she took Journalistic Expression her junior year. She enjoyed the unique structure of the class because it was different from the typical English curriculum. Ayala is looking forward to being a part of the Blueprint staff this year.
Outside of journalism, Ayala enjoys spending time with friends, dancing, listening to music and drinking kombucha. Ayala is excited to experience new things during her senior year.
