Q: What have you gotten involved in at DGS?

A: “I’m in cheer and I’m in ACE [Athletes Committed to Excellence].”

Q: Have you enjoyed the activities that you are involved in?

A: “I love both of them. I think they’re both really great and it’s helping me meet new people and make connections with the school and it’s helping me get around a lot easier.”

Q: Do you plan on getting involved in anything else?

A: “Not really.”

Q: Do you like DGS so far? Why or why not?

A: “I love it. I think it’s a really great experience, it’s a lot better than middle school because there are a lot more opportunities to get involved and do the things that you want to do.”

Q: Are your classes easier or harder than what you expected?

A: “They’re just about what I expected, but I think I just didn’t expect that I would need to manage my time as well as I do.”

Q: What is your favorite part about high school?

A: “I think my favorite part about high school is getting to choose my electives because it gives me kind of like a freedom to do what I want.”

Q: What are you looking forward to this year?

A: “I’m looking forward to cheer for competition season–that starts pretty soon–and that’s really it.”
