Q & A with Rachel Davis

Senior Rachel Davis has been playing softball for 11 years.  She currently plays for the DGS varsity softball team as a starting outfielder.  Rachel is committed to her softball career by achieving all of her goals on and off the field.

 

Q: When was the last time you hit a homerun?

A: “We were up in Battle Creek, Michigan for one of our nationals and [it happened] in one of our last games. I was the lead off hitter in the first inning and I hit a homerun.”

 

Q: When was the last time you had an amazing play?

A: “I was at second base [and I was] playing defense. [The batter hit] a line drive like above my head to where I had to jump. I caught [it] and threw the girl out at first [and] it was a double play on my own.”

 

Q: What was the last netflix show you finished?

A: “[I just finished] Riverdale. I finished Season 1 in about 2 days.”

 

Q: When was the last time you were starstruck?

A: “During the summer, I went to the Cubs game [and] it was a night game. We sat out [by where the cubs players cars pull out] and we saw Baez. I was screaming my head off!”

 

Q: What was the last pastry you ate?

A: “[I ate a] slice of chocolate cake from Mariano’s. It’s really good.”
