You’ve probably been exposed to Disney at least once in your life. The childlike innocence and loveable characters provide a safe space in the media, especially in today’s world. The viewer can leave their worries behind, and immerse themselves into the bliss of Disney.
Community is the main aspect that contributes to Disney’s magic. Whether you’re into magical princess stories or swashbuckling adventures alongside Jack Sparrow, you can always find your place at Disney World. The Disney World environment has been carefully curated to achieve the goal of togetherness among the attendees, starting with the surroundings.
While the parks are the main thought we have when we think of Disney, they’re not the only magical aspect of Disney World.
If you decide to stay on property, you will practically live in a fantasy world. Disney works hard at ensuring every aspect of your experience at Disney is just absolutely magical, living arrangements included.
The resorts are also just breathtaking, with captivating themes to the rooms, adding to the magical atmosphere. They even have water slides and other fun activities around the resort for you and your family to take part in when you aren’t at one of the parks. Especially if you’re traveling with little kids, because there is always something entertaining to occupy them.
The Hidden Mickeys of the Disney parks are also an exciting event for tourists. They range from Mickeys in plain sight to a certain one that only shows up once a year at the Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid ride in Magic Kingdom. People love these Hidden Mickeys, and even use books and articles to try to find all of them.
The food, however, definitely takes the cake. In 1985, the warm and fluffy churros magically debuted, hence the wand shape they commonly come in. Churros at Disney are so popular they have special holiday options, and fun shapes such as Mickey’s head.
Good thing both Disney World and Disneyland have tons of frozen sweet treats and refreshments available. Adventureland Colada at Magic Kingdom is a fan favorite. It’s a blend of Dole whip pineapple, coconut cream, and passion fruit.
Speaking of Dole whip, the iconic tropical and heavenly soft serve pineapple ice cream is so good, it’s served at all parks in multiple locations. It’s loved because it made its debut at Disney World in 1984, and was just so irresistible it quickly became a staple. You don’t make it too far without seeing another tourist enjoying the delicious treat.
And don’t get me started on the souvenirs. While a little pricey, these trinkets or collectables from your favorite Disney media piece don’t disappoint.
I recommend the charm bracelet or necklace, because everytime you go back, you can get another charm or two and keep adding to the chain. It’s like wearing all the joy you could transport from the Disney parks around your neck or wrist.
The rides are also an important part of Disney, and might as well be transportation devices to your favorite realms. Fast-paced roller coasters like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad fill the hunger for excitement, and slower rides like Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid allow you to rest your feet and fantasize.
So is Disney World really the happiest place on Earth? It absolutely is incredible for people from all walks of life. I recommend checking it out at least once in your life, because it’s truly an experience you’ll never forget.
