People say that teenage girls spend all their money on one thing–Starbucks, and at least for the class of 2026, that’s true. Starbucks makes roughly 35 billion dollars yearly, and 55% of Starbucks customers are female. Sophomore Carly Bleau visits Starbucks frequently.

“I go to Starbucks to study because it’s a really quiet environment and I have the space to do my work. I don’t get distracted by my phone when I’m in Starbucks,” said Bleau.

    Popular drinks and sizes:

Between the most frequent drinks: iced chai lattes, strawberry açaí refreshers and brown sugar shaken expressos, 72.7% of surveyed students reported they order a venti sized drink. The other 27.3% reported ordering a grande.

    Iced drinks & ice:

An astounding 100% of people said they order iced drinks as opposed to hot, and 100% also listed that they have a usual order.

Due to the fact that light ice is no extra charge, 50% of students order their drinks with light ice.

    Mobile orders & Customization:

Ordering mobile is so easy; Starbucks lets you walk in and pick up your order. Because of this simplicity, 90.9% of students order using Starbucks mobile.

With options for cold foam, syrups, sweeteners and extra berries, 83.3% of students customize their drink orders.

    Money:

Sophomores share how much they are willing to pay for a Starbucks drink.

Starbucks can be super expensive, especially when one harbors a Starbucks addiction, and only 16.7% of students are willing to spend over $10. 33.3% will be willing to pay up to $10, while the other 50% will only buy drinks under $7.

When given the option to tip at the kiosk only 25% of students will tip.

All in all the rumors are true-teenage girls do spend dollars and dollars on Starbucks drinks.
