PE teacher explores his inner child

Adam Petersen enjoys reflecting on his inner self and what he loves most about being a teacher.

Adam Petersen, an adaptive Pe teacher, enjoys being himself and giving honest answers about who is on the inside.

Q: What made you want to become a teacher?
A: “ Woof……I believe my high school U.S History teacher, I had a really good relationship with him, I liked the impact he had on me and… He was also my tennis coach, tennis friends. It was a cool relationship and he was like a mentor and I wanted to be like him”

Q: What is your favorite movie of all time
A:” rocky 4 or kingpin”

Q: If you had to choose between gummy bears and sour skittles what would you choose and why?
A: “ Sour skittles, because it has a direct proportion of sourness to sugar, and when I first bite into the sour skittle, unlike gummy bears, they really create a party on my palette with my taste buds.

Q: If you could visit anywhere in the world where would you go?
A: “ Iceland. Greenland. The Colosseum in Rome? Ohh my gosh. Downers Grove South High School. That’s the only place I ever want to be.”

Q: If you had to meet a Disney Prince, who would you meet?
A: “ I am gonna have to go with Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid. I really like how he fostered Ariel’s independence and he really was able to create a positive relationship via her intentional communication.”
