Senior Stefano Espinosa is a soccer player here at DGS.

Q:  When was the first time you won a game in soccer?

A: When I was just starting out, at the park district I was playing with one of my friend’s teams, I was really young when I started. [I] around five or six [years old].

Q: How did your first game go your first year at soccer at DGS?

A: I joined [my] sophomore year instead of [my] freshman year. I remember I was in a team with kids were older than me and it was really interesting. I think we won but it was a great kick [start] to my soccer career.

Q: What is the first thing you do when preparing for a game?

A: I put [on] my headphones and stretch by myself even if we stretch as a team. I think it’s important to stretch by yourself.

Q: What is the first thing people get wrong about you when meeting you?

A:  I’m more of a shy person. Everyone when they first meet me believe I am more reserved because I am standoffish, but if you get to know me I am a lot nicer and more outgoing.

Q:  What is your last memory of freshman year?

A:  Remember that one [trend to the] song “Black Beetles?” Well when that trend was going around people were making videos for the trend and they were putting it in a compilation, so our teacher had us do one of those and it was interesting. The video was cool and it was a fun way to end the year.
