Freshman Friday: Dakota Panico
March 16, 2018
Q: Were you scared to leave middle school?
A: I wasn’t scared to leave middle school because I knew people from different middle schools that were coming in so my classes were easy going.
Q: What are you involved in at school or do you plan to get involved last year?
A: I’m involved in key club, I was planning on getting involved in more this year, but since I didn’t, I will be next year.
Q: Have you made a lot of new friends or chilling with your old friends?
A: I hang out with a completely different crowd of people now that I met this year.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about DGS?
A: My favorite thing about DGS is that you’re able to meet so many different people all the time, and you’re forced to talk to different kinds of people in all of your classes.
Q: What do you do in your free time?
A: On my free time I’m usually with friends or spending time with my family depending on the weekend.

I agree with Dakota that DGS expands your horizons and opens up doors to talk to other people. It only goes up from there! As you progress in classes over the years you meet new people in your classes which is really nice. I like how William focused on her experience so far.

Leaving middle school wasn’t difficult for me considering I wanted to meet a bunch of people so I definitely agree with a majority of what she said. Hopefully the rest of her high school goes well for her!
