With the first round of the AFC and NFC playoffs over and the second round coming up this weekend, we at the DGS Blueprint have decided to predict potential winners of this year’s Super Bowl. It’s almost game day and one thing we can say for sure is that Super Bowl 2026 is going to be a nailbiter.
Last Sunday, the New England Patriots hosted a hard-to-watch game versus the Los Angeles Chargers, winning 16-3. Patriots star quarterback Drake Maye led the team with two touchdowns, including one passing touchdown by 28 yards. Maye may have facilitated two touchdowns for the Patriots, but the number of incomplete passes made by both him and Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert made the game underwhelming and painful.
The Patriots’ defense is easily one of the best in the NFL this season, and It wouldn’t be surprising for them to make it past the second round. That said, both the Buffalo Bills and the Denver Broncos have better offensive lines and more experienced quarterbacks, so it’s night-night for the Patriots and their dreams of winning the 2026 AFC.
The Los Angeles Rams have had a above average regular season of 12-5, but had a close playoff win against the Carolina Panthers last Saturday, winning by just three points, 34-31. With recent injuries and their next game against the Chicago Bears, who won their playoff game by just 31-27, I don’t see the Rams making it to the NFC championship.
The Bears, who have Pope Leo XIV on their side, won a close but incredibly gritty game against their archrivals, the Green Bay Packers, who lost when quarterback Jordan Love had an anxiety attack with six seconds on the clock and was immediately sacked by the Bears. I predict the Bears will win against the rams and if they don’t, then they will cause some sort of injury or wear the team down.
This might be the football season that Chicago sports fans have been rooting for.
Our overall prediction is that the Seattle Seahawks are going to face the Denver Broncos in a Super Bowl Championship and win by a field goal or two-point conversion. While every other team in the NFL has been worn out by tough playoff games, both the Seahawks and Broncos are well rested and ready to perform in the second round.
