Six Flags Great America’s Fright Fest is introducing three new chilling haunted house attractions, and this could not be more thrilling.
This year, Six Flags once again continues its reign of terror into the lives of park-goers and invites those who dare to experience some new frightening additions to the park.
One of these new themes was inspired by the Netflix hit show “Stranger Things.” Park-goers will have the opportunity to step inside the terrifying world of Hawkins, Indiana in an interactive maze.
Naturally, It’s hard to picture how this will look, especially because it is derived from a television show, but there is little doubt that Fright Fest will fail on bringing the vision to life.
The next great scare is coming from the infamous movie “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” (2022). Here’s a recap: 50 years after Leatherface’s (Mark Dunham) gnarly reign of terror, a group of influencers journey to the now abandoned town of Harlow, Texas. Naturally, as most horror movies go, faces are cut off and blood is spilled.
Six Flags incorporates this by inviting visitors to experience Harlow for themselves and shadow the influencers–but with spine-chilling consequences to follow.
Fun, right?
Lastly, but certainly not least, they introduce the “Saw” franchise with a haunted house that cuts straight through the heart of participants.
“Saw” is another multi-movie franchise being added to the park. The house will include a variety of “Saw” movie references, ranging from notable characters to infamous traps.
However, we can’t forget the best part. Roller coasters will still be available to ride, and all haunted house tickets will be sold separately. Catch the spooks Sept. 14 through Nov. 3. To get in on some fearsome fun, visit the Six Flags official website to get ticket prices, times and more attraction information.
