The Downers Grove South Varsity Invitational is one of if not the largest tournaments in the state of Illinois. Students from all over the state arrive by bus to compete in this two-day tournament. At the end of the second strenuous day in a row the awards ceremony is held on the mainstage of the PAC, where the top 6 in each of the 14 events are awarded their trophies. Students who competed in a final or next-in final round sit onstage and await the time where their event is called.
