COVID-19 brings silence among towns

Caution tape has become a normal accessory to see outside at community parks and pathways. The caution tape is to remind people that these areas are closed off to the public to encourage social distancing.

The Bolingbrook Promenade is usually filled with people in stores. Now, the mall is littered with very few cars and people as select restaurants are open for carry out or curbside pickup.

The Master Facility plan is still underway and on track to be finished soon. The auditorium has been demolished and is in its next steps to create an area for all students to enjoy.

Cypress Cove Family Aquatic Center is still planning to be open for the summer of 2020. The pool has been in contact with their employees, informing them about their plan for the season.

All parks in Woodridge are currently covered in yellow caution tape to encourage social distancing. The pathways surrounding the park are not covered but the actual playground equipment is.

Public libraries are closed at this time. While the Woodridge library is physically closed to the community, they are allowing e-books to be checked out. Also, no fees will be applied to a library card for un-returned books during this time.

The town of Woodridge is encouraging random acts of kindness while still maintaining social distancing. Random acts of kindness can help people find happiness during this time.
