This is a great piece on inclusion and diversity at the high school level. As a parent of a mustang band member, I’ve witnessed first hand the level of dedication, competitiveness and closeness of this group. As a former HS student myself I wish I had known then what I know now and my view on various student organizations would have been different. Great writing and should be of value to many in offering broader perspective to high school students not in band.
