For every Mexican cuisine craving, Pancheros Mexican Grill is a great choice. It offers many options like burritos, bowls, tacos, salads, quesadillas and chips.
With those come a multitude of sides and toppings you can choose from. They press the fresh tortillas themselves, and their chips are distinctive blue corn tortilla chips.
The burrito bowl was filled with fresh toppings and flavors. It included cilantro-lime rice, chicken, cheese, corn, queso and guacamole. The bowl had a little kick of heat to it, but not enough that it overpowered the flavor.
The guacamole had green peppers and tomato chunks in it, and those added a crunch as well as a squishy texture to it. The guacamole mixed in well, and you got a taste of it in every bite. It wasn’t a mild guacamole and wasn’t spicy.
The corn added a fresh and light taste as well as a delightful pop when you bit into it. The chicken melted in your mouth and had just the right amount of seasoning. It had a garlicky taste, alongside a peppery note, and was juicy.
None of the ingredients overpowered the others, and it was the perfect warmth. It wasn’t too heavy, but it was definitely filling. It was easy to eat, but it could also get messy.
Using the side of chips and queso to scoop up the ingredients in the bowl added a nice crunch and saltiness that complemented everything well. The creamy queso is a lot like a persistent hug; it holds things together really well.
The drink station offered many types of soft drinks and teas. Additionally, you can go up and get refills whenever you need them. Something unique about the drink station was that there were lemons in little containers to add to your drink.
As soon as you walk in, you get an aroma of the meat and the different ingredients. To order, you get in line, and an employee takes you down the line asking which ingredients you want included in your meal. Then at the end, they ring you up, and you get your drink and find a table.
The employees were efficient at getting everything ready. It was spacious and had many booths, combined with a warm-toned light above each table. There were many windows allowing for natural light, which created a comfortable atmosphere.
Dishes were clinking in the background alongside music that was playing quietly enough that you could still hear the people you were having a conversation with.
The total cost for the bowl, chips and queso and the soft drink came out to be $21.45. The guacamole and queso are an extra $1.95, the drinks are $2.50 and the chips and queso are $4.50. You may think that is a lot, but the proportions of the bowl will guarantee that you have leftovers and leave you feeling satisfied.
