On March 14 and 15, Orchesis will hold its eighth annual show, “The Core.” Orchesis is a student-run club with a large group of students dancing. The show highlights student choreographed pieces in various styles of dance.

Senior Haley Meyer has been involved in orchesis since her freshman year and she believes it is a great way for students to meet new people and learn about dance.

“Orchesis is different from other clubs because it is almost entirely student run, there are lots of opportunities for leadership in this club and it allows everyone that loves to dance to come together in one big club,” Meyer said.

Meyer also mentions that Orchesis is a safe space for students to express themselves.

“I really love how Orchesis is a club where everyone has a chance to express themselves through our common love for dance…Orchesis is a not cut club so everyone has the opportunity to get involved,” Meyer said.

The Orchesis show will take place in the Performing Arts Center at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15.
