On Feb. 23, DGS held the annual spirit assembly where students from all grades and staff competed for the spirit jug. Small events during lunch periods where students could earn points for their grade led up to the large assembly that took place in the large gym. Seniors won the spirit jug after being in last place for most of the week.

Students from all grades gather in the large gym wearing their class colors. Freshmen wore white, sophomores wore gray, juniors wore columbia blue and seniors wore navy blue. Though there is a competition for the spirit jug, students cheer for all events that take place during the assembly.

This house, located on Belair Drive, projects Christmas movies onto the front of their home. Currently screening is “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” but many other classic Christmas movies are expected to air before Dec. 25.
