Sophomore Angie Paz has a blossoming small business in which she creates flowers and floral arrangements out of ribbon, making an assortment of intricate bouquets.

Having this business has given her the opportunity to connect with others and help others feel inspired and seen. She has grown immensely since the time she started this side hustle about two years ago and only continues to improve as she works on her craft.

She felt inspired to start creating after longing to feel accepted in her family. Watching family members find their passion and build projects surrounding it made her want to find her own calling.

“I think it was definitely my family. Everybody has their own thing going on, so I wanted something for myself,” Paz said.

While her floral arrangements are important to Paz, nothing compares to the interactions she has with her customers, giving her a sense of fulfillment and a desire to continue her art.

Paz believes her business would not be possible without her loyal customers, who are the reason she is able to do what she loves.

“People like to send me the pictures on their phones of arrangements or like the people that they give them to and they all look happy,”
