The DGS Varsity Fillies perform “No Church in the Wild” their competition piece at Conference on Jan. 17. This piece placed fifth at sections on Jan. 25, the Fillies are ecstatic to perform at state this year on Jan. 31. Coach Dawn Jovic couldn’t be more excited for the Fillies to perform at state this year. “I think that the Fillies have embodied the grit and fight in the song perfectly. It hasn’t been an easy season, with a lot of illnesses and injuries, but I couldn’t be more proud of how the Fillies succeeded through it all. I am absolutely thrilled to be spending the weekend with them at State and watching them shine,” Jovic said.
